Chance Chapman
Chance Chapman is entering his sixth season with the SFA soccer team as an assistant coach after spending one season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2018. In Chapman's first season with the team, the Ladyjacks posted a 7-9-3 regular season record before making a strong run in the 2018 Southland Conference Tournament, knocking off two higher seeded teams and earning a title game berth and winning SouthLand Conference Championship in 2020 before moving to WAC in 2021 winning the Championship in their first year. Prior to joining SFA, Chapman served as the head coach of the boy’s soccer team at NacogdochesISD, where he guided the Dragons to a 47-29-11 record in four seasons at the helm. Additionally, Chapman guided his squad to a pair of District championships in 2015-16 and 2016-17, three area championships from 2015-18, and has never finished lower than second in the district with the team. Prior to his coaching days, Chapman was a four-year player at Northwood University, where he was named Red River Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2002 and guided his team to a conference championship and runner-up finish in the conference tournament. During his playing career, Chapman took up coaching within the Dallas Texans (South) organization, serving as the goalkeepers coach there from 2005-2006. Chapman has served as the head coach for Angelina F.C, a soccer club that helped place seven players into college soccer programs during his four-year stay there from 2009-13. Most recently, Chapman has coached the with Texas Pines Soccer Club from 2016 to 2019 and is the current Director Of Coaching for Pines Futsal Club Teams . A native of Lufkin, Texas, Chapman earned a bachelors degree in entertainment and sports management from Northwood in 2006, and owns a USSF “D” License. He lives in Lufkin with his twin daughters, Skylerand Violet.

Mckenzie Whittinghill
Education: McKenzie graduated in May 2019 with her Bachelor’s degree in psychological science and a Pre-Professional Heath minor from Austin Peay State University. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2021. McKenzie pursued a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Student Affairs and Higher Education, Mass Communication, and Public Administration. Collegiate Career: McKenzie received the following accolades while playing Division I soccer at Austin Peay State University. First-Team All-OVC (2015); OVC All-Newcomer team (2015); Three-time OVC Offensive Player of the Week (2015). Finished career ranked in Top 10 in program history in goals (16), assists (7), and points (39) Post Graduate Career and Coaching: McKenzie played overseas in Spain with American International Sports Teams during the summer of 2019. She coached and Worked Camps for Kelley Guth Soccer Camps and Clarksville Soccer Club From the summer of 2015 until the spring of 2020. Was named Lead Coach for CSC’s 2012 girls team in the fall of 2019. High School Career: McKenzie finished her high school career with 113 goals, including a 42 goal season, and 59 assists. In 2014 and 2015 she was named the Arkansas Gatorade State Player of the Year and in 2014 she was the Northwest Arkansas Media Player of the Year. In 2014, McKenzie earned NSCAA All-American status. She was a four-time all-conference selection and Conference MVP in 2014 and 2015 and won three Arkansas state titles with Bentonville High School. Personal: McKenzie and her husband, Shaun, have called Nacogdoches home since the spring of 2020. Each year, they have become more involved and immersed in all that the city of Nacogdoches has to offer. Their time in Nacogdoches has truly been a blessing and they are excited to continue growing and connecting with the community and students on campus. Both McKenzie and Shaun work at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Fabian Cuevas
Coaching has always been a passion for Fabian Cuevas from a young age. Coach Fabian began his coaching career in his local youth city league of his hometown of Livingston, Tx in 2015. He volunteered coached from 2015-2018 at LYSA while playing for his High School soccer team being a 3 year varsity player and captain his senior year, Graduating in 2018 from Livingston High School. Fabian attended and played soccer for Jacksonville College Graduating with his Associates Degree in Applied Science. After finishing his Associates, he decided to transfer to Stephen F. Austin State University in fall of 2020 to finish out his degree plan to and to follow his passion in coaching. Fabian joined the SFA Women’s soccer team to become a student manager and learn from some of the top coaches in the country. While at SFA, the Lady Jacks went on to win the Southland Conference championship in 2020 and made the transition to the WAC in 2021 where they became conference champions again in back to back seasons. Fabian was very involved with the soccer program as a manger from working with the team both in and off season as well as working ID camps, Aggie Soccer Camps as well as LilJack camps during this time. While a student manger and still wanting to develop his coaching, Fabian joined and became an assistant coach for the Pines 1779 soccer club in Nacogdoches, where he coached the boys and girls u8-u13 from 2020-2022. After graduating and earning his bachelor degree in Business Management, Fabian went back to Livingston and soon began working with Challenge Soccer Club in Tomball, Tx as Boys Academy Coach from 2022-2023 season. During this time, Fabian has also earned his U.S. Soccer “D” Coaching License and enrolled with USSF for his “C” Coaching License. Coach Fabian is returning to Nacogdoches Texas as the new Assistant Coach for SFA woman’s soccer program and Coach for Pines Futsal Academy and is excited about the opportunity to invest in the development of players from the Nacogdoches area!

Joshua Perez
Coach Joshua Perez is going into his sixth year coaching right here at home. He is a senior at Stephen F. Austin State University, majoring in Kinesiology. He began as a volunteer coach at the Nacogdoches Youth Soccer Association in 2018. During his time with the NYSA he coached various age groups ranging from u6 to u13. Joshua Perez has vast experience with both recreational and elite programs. He helped develop the East Texas Warriors, a competitive soccer team that went on to play in some of the top tournaments in the state. The ETXW ‘09 Boys earned a spot in the National Tournament in Florida (2021.) The summer of 2021 Perez joined one of the most prestigious programs in the country at Texas A&M University as an assistant coach learning under Coach “G” Guerrieri . The Aggie soccer camp staff is made up of talented Professional, NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and Olympic Development coaches. During his time with Texas A&M, Joshua Perez coached an elite group of high school athletes. He also coordinated technical and tactical skills for the athletes through exciting, fun, and demanding training sessions. In 2022 he joined the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) as an assistant coach. He had the opportunity to work in College Station alongside some of the best middle school and high school coaches in the state. This was a great opportunity not only to expand his coaching knowledge but also strengthen his faith in Christ. Coach Joshua Perez is currently the head coach of the high school boys soccer team at Central Heights High School Soccer Club. He also serves as an assistant coach for the middle school boys team. Coach Perez holds various USSF coaching badges and is currently pursuing his “D” License. Enrique Acevendo
Enrique “Kike” Acevedo is a soccer enthusiast whose love and enjoyment of the sport of soccer has lead him to the pathway of coaching and investing into kids the same way his family and coaches have invested in him during his child hood. He is the son of Lucy and Humberto Acevedo. He is supported by his wife Daisy Sequeda and their daughter Camila. Through his family , his father and Coach Farshid he fell in love with soccer and every aspect about it. Being surrounded by such a strong supporting group of men and woman he has developed that same passion to help young kids fall in love with this beautiful game. Coach Kike wants to invest everything he has learned to help young kids properly develop the skills, fundamentals, and knowledge of the game and to understand that heart, technique and game iq conquers all. Coach Kike has played soccer since he could kick a ball participating in various leagues around the East Tx area where he still actively plays today. Coach Kike is a Nacogdoches high school soccer alumni who earned many awards and recognitions in those years (Newcomer of the Year, Sophomore of the year, first team all-district, district MVP, First team all-Region) from the years of 2011-2014. Following graduation Coach Kike went on to play for the first men’s soccer team at Angelina College. Over the years Coach Kike has volunteered his time with Nac Futbol Club as an assistant coach, coordinates private soccer lessons and developmental plans for youth players in Nacogdoches and surrounding areas and currently runs the over 30 Futsal and Soccer Leagues for Nacogdoches Parks and Recreation Department. Coach Kike is currently enrolled in U.S Soccer Course and finishing his grassroots courses and pursuing his “D” license. He is excited to be able to help the kids in our community gain confidence, develop and fine tune their skill and above all to fall in love with the game the way he has.

Isaac Rosales
Coach Isaac Rosales is the current Soccer Manager at Stephan F. Austin in Nacogdoches where he helps the staff and team in their day to day training sessions. He is currently enrolled in his senior year pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Stephen F. Austin State University, to complement his Associates of Science in Kinesiology from Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas. Coach Isaac is a goalkeeping specialist and has been focusing on developing goalkeepers both for SFA goalkeepers and goalkeepers in the surrounding areas by providing private and small group sessions. He's had the opportunity to learn from many great coaches and mentors while serving as a volunteer goalies coach from 2016-2018 at Nacogdoches High School and his time working for the SFA Soccer program and plans to apply what he's learned in his pursuit to continue to help goal keepers develop technically , physically and mentally here in East Texas . Coach Isaac is currently enrolled in his grass roots course at US Soccer and is a passionate , dedicated individual who loves soccer and helping others achieve their goals. He is looking forward to his time giving back to the community by helping youth players grow and reach their full potential. Growing up as a player here in deep East Texas there was not a dedicated Goalies Coach from here to learn from. Coach Issac aims to stop that from being a issue going forward . Fitting mentality for a goalie! If you have a young player that aspires to be a goalie here in the surrounding areas he looks forward to the opportunity to help your young athlete reach their goals!
